Degree Transfer Program Standard
Our specialised Degree Transfer Program is equivalent to the first year of a bachelor’s degree at the University of Adelaide. You can follow your path to a range of business, IT, computer science, science undergraduate degrees and more when you join the University in second year.

Why study with us?

  • We offer a wide range of courses taught to the University’s syllabus. You’ll learn content relevant to your degree and receive full credit for all university-level courses.
  • You’ll be provided with English language and learning support to assist you while you’re studying the Degree Transfer Program.
  • As our graduate, you won’t be required to provide further evidence of your English language proficiency.
  • You’ll have the flexibility of studying a Degree Transfer Program in one of three formats: extended, standard or accelerated.

 

Leading to: Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (Electrical and Electronic)
Electrical and electronic engineers do so much more than keep the lights on! From smart devices to medical imagery and defence technologies, electrical and electronic engineering contributes to every aspect of modern life.

What will you do?
Our Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (Electrical and Electronic) is practical right from the first year. Working with our internationally renowned staff who are active in cutting-edge discoveries, you will:

  • Study in state-of-the-art facilities, including a 3D prototyping lab, autonomous vehicles lab, electric machines lab, quantum engineering and semiconductor laboratories, and augmented/virtual reality laboratories.
  • Learn and master new frontiers in biomedical engineering, robotics, mechatronics, quantum engineering, semiconductors, and applied electromagnetics
  • Push the frontiers of knowledge in artificial intelligence, control, autonomous systems, integrated circuits for biomedical and space, and quantum electronics
  • Work on practical and relevant projects with industry partners, and build confidence for tech entrepreneurship
  • Specialise in your chosen electrical and electronic engineering major after the first two years
  • Complete an eight-week practical experience

 

Major: Medical Technologies
The medical technologies major prepares you for cutting-edge design work in the rehabilitation and assistive medical devices fields. Courses involve working with artificial joints, heart valves and bone fixation devices. As well as study areas related to the musculoskeletal system, neurolung function, and medical instrumentation.

Graduates can explore a wide range of career opportunities both at home and abroad. You could find yourself developing advanced technology for the medical device industry or improving prosthetic limbs or diagnostic tools for health practitioners.

    Scholarships

    The University of Adelaide College International Scholarship rewards the international graduates of the University of Adelaide College.

     

    This scholarship is:

    • Available for graduates of the University of Adelaide College commencing at the University of Adelaide.
    • Open to citizens of any country (except Australia and New Zealand); and
    • Provides a waiver of 10% of the annual tuition fee for each year of the program for the full duration of the degree.

     

    Value
    The scholarship offers a 10% tuition fee reduction for the minimum standard full-time duration of the scholar's chosen undergraduate or postgraduate degree.

     

    Eligibility
    To be eligible for this scholarship you must:

    • Be a graduate of the University of Adelaide College;
    • Have a University of Adelaide offer of admission (full offer or conditional offer) as a full-fee-paying international student;
    • Enrol in a full time study load for each study period of the degree;
    • Complete the acceptance process as outlined in your offer of admission.

    Note: Scholarship applicants who are eligible for more than one scholarship offered by the University of Adelaide will only be entitled to receive one scholarship (the highest value scholarship award for which they are eligible).

     

    Exclusions
    The following applicants are not eligible to receive these scholarships:

    • Current University of Adelaide students who are transferring from one degree to another prior to successful completion of their program of study (internal transfers)
    • Students who are recipients of a scholarship covering tuition fees awarded by a recognised scholarship awarding body such as a government ministry or department
    • Applicants for Masters by Research or Phd programs;
    • Applicants for certain programs; see the scholarship terms and conditions for a list of excluded degrees.
