The Bachelor of Arts (BA) in English at Booth University College is a flexible interdisciplinary program. Combine an English major with a Film Studies minor to unite your passion for film and theatre with your love for reading, writing, and language. The opportunities are abundant.

To study English and film is to study people's stories. Stories help us understand what our society values most at any given time.

Explore British, American, Canadian, and other texts from the past and present. Learn from a variety of cultural contexts and consider issues that shape human culture. Topics like the history of political unrest, gender and sexual politics, and environmental destruction are relevant for anyone interested in shaping culture today.

Unique courses include ENG 360 Mass Media and Society and ENG 320 Trauma Literature. The Film Studies stream offer courses in film adaptation and genre. You'll have opportunities to tell your own stories through filmmaking.
