International Business Management

Elevate your business knowledge in this comprehensive eight-month graduate certificate program where you will learn about the complex world of international business. You will learn from experienced industry professionals with first-hand knowledge of today’s global business environment. With an emphasis on collaborative, project-based learning, case analysis and in-class discussions, you will cultivate essential critical-thinking skills. Team research and analysis of a real Canadian company will culminate in the development of an international export business plan.

Participate in tours within and outside Canada through Seneca’s Mobile Intensive Learning Experience (MILE).


Project Management – Information Technology

In this eight-month graduate certificate program, you will learn about the advances in project management taking place in the Information Technology (IT) industry. This program teaches an understanding of when to apply methodologies in the IT industry, including when each methodology is appropriate to use. This program will also refine your project management skills by providing an enhanced awareness of IT projects, programs and policies in two consecutive semesters. This program offers an optional work term for students to gain practical experience in the IT sector prior to graduation.

Optional Work Term
Students meeting all academic requirements may have the opportunity to complete an optional work term(s) in a formal work environment. The work term(s) is similar in length to an academic semester and typically involves full-time work hours that may be paid or unpaid. In programs with limited work term opportunities, additional academic requirements and a passing grade on a communication assessment may be required for eligibility. Eligibility for participation does not guarantee a work position will be secured. Additional fees are required for those participating in the optional work term stream regardless of success in securing a work position.

Academic Requirement

  • Minimum Level of Education Required: To be accepted into this program, applicants must have an Ontario university or college degree or three-year college diploma or equivalent
    Applicants with an equivalent combination of partial postsecondary and/or three to five years related work experience may be considered for admission. A relevant resumé and references must be provided.

Scholarships

Scholarship for Sep’2024 Intake.

We’re offering a new $2,000 incentive/ Scholarship for international students living in Canada who apply to study at Seneca Polytechnic for the September 2024 Term. Please note, this incentive/ Scholarship is applied ONLY for on-shore students and open programs.



Eligibility requirements:

International students who are eligible for this $2,000 incentive / Scholarship must:

  • Be in Canada with a valid study permit or Letter of Introduction (LOI) at the time of application.
  • Apply to a full time Seneca program, two years or longer in length, starting in September 2024*.
  • Valid for bundled graduate certificates.
  • Not available for programs offered through the English Language Institute (ELI).

 

In addition, participants must receive an offer of admission, confirm their offer and pay the required fees to receive their Letter of Acceptance (LOA) from Seneca.

Students transferring from another Designated Learning Institute (DLI) who are currently living in Canada with a valid study permit at time of application can also participate. They may also qualify for transfer credits if their program courses from another DLI closely align with their program courses at Seneca.
*If a participant defers their application to a new intake, they will no longer be eligible for the incentive.



How to apply:

Participants do not need to apply separately for this incentive.

To be considered, participant’s must

  • Apply to a full-time program at Seneca through our International Web Application on or after May 17, 2024. Participants must also upload a valid study permit or Letter of Introduction (LOI) at the time of application.
  • Confirm their offer of admission and pay the required fees.
  • Receive a Letter of Acceptance (LOA) from Seneca.

 

The incentive / Scholarship will be assessed upon application and awarded to enrolled students after Sept. 16, 2024 based on available seats and eligibility requirements.


 

Incentive / Scholarship Amount and Method:

Those who are eligible may receive prioritized admission to Seneca and an admissions incentive valued at $2,000. A limited number of incentives will be awarded.
Distribution of the incentive will be staggered over the duration of the program with the first $1,000 posted to the student’s online Seneca account after Sept. 16, 2024. The remaining $1,000 will be posted to the student’s online Seneca account in their second year of study.

  • Total value per incentive = $2,000 CDN
  • No cash alternative or substitution will be provided, except that Seneca reserves the right to substitute the incentive for another item of equal or greater value for any reason.

 

Note: For the incentive to be awarded, the student must add their Social Insurance Number (SIN) to their Student Home portal by Sept. 16, 2024.
