The hospitality industry has been a booming industry for the last few years. With the advent of globalization and increased tourism, the industry has grown tremendously and has opened up a number of job opportunities. This program is designed to prepare students for various job opportunities in the hospitality industry. The students will gain knowledge about the functioning of various areas of hospitality, including catering, restaurant management, housekeeping, and Food and Beverage Management.

Smt. Amarjeet Kaur Dhaliwal Scholarship Policy And Procedure

Western Community College has been serving the Community since 2012 with several job oriented programs and a lot of people from our community have benefitted from these programs. Western Community College has a vision for helping deserving students to pursue their education. The college offers the “Smt. Amarjeet Kaur Dhaliwal Scholarship.” This scholarship program encourages willing and deserving students to further their education. We also offers an easy monthly payment plan. Western Community College encourages one and all to apply for the scholarship if they qualify for the minimum requirements, which are outlined below:

  1. The applicant must be registered in any program (with tuition fee more than $1000) at Western Community College.
  2. The applicant must have a valid student number given from the college.
  3. The scholarship should not be combined with any other scheme/promotion at Western Community College.
  4. The decision made by the scholarship committee at Western Community College will be final and not subject to challenge by the applicants.
  5. The scholarship amount can be used towards the payment of fee by the applicant but is not transferable to any other student/person.
  6. The application for scholarship must be complete in all respects and be submitted on or before the deadline issued by the college.

The criteria for selection of students for scholarship will be as follows:

  1. Academic Performance
  2. Financial Status
  3. Participation in Extra Curricular Activities
  4. Expression of thoughts and visible motivation
