    Award Details

    • Number of Recipients: 4 students per intake
    • Scholarship Amount per intake: One 100% scholarship, three 50% scholarships
    • Duration: Full-time master’s programme (if students have an average GPA of 80+)

     

    Eligibility Criteria

    • Target Audience: Female applicants for tech-related master’s programs. Open to all female applicants applying for computer science and technology programs at Gisma UAS:

      • MSc in Data Science, AI and Digital Business
      • MEng Computer Science
         
    • Academic Requirements: Minimum GPA of 80 at undergraduate level
    • Enrolment Status: Applicant for master’s programmes at Gisma
    • Residency of Students: National or international students
    • Financial Need: N/A

     

    Application Process

    • Application Form: Online PDF application
    • Personal Statement: one-page statement outlining your long-term vision in technology. This would show not only your current capabilities but also your aspirations for future innovations, leadership, and contributions to the tech landscape and any form of leadership or community involvement.
    • Transcript: Academic records from current or previous institutions.
    • Letters of Recommendation: From teachers, mentors or employers, - At least one letter from academic or professional referee
    • Portfolio: Proof of technical skills or projects - This could include links to relevant projects. Copies of any relevant certifications or awards in technology fields.
    • Scholarship intakes: January, May, July and September
    • Deadline for application: Last Monday of November for January intake; Last Monday of January for April intake, Last Monday of March for July Intake; Last Monday of July for September Intake

     

    Selection Criteria

    • Academic Excellence: GPA and academic achievements
    • Personal Statement: Quality and relevance of the essay or personal statement
    • Innovation and Creativity: Projects, research or contributions to tech, recommendations and portfolio
    • Financial Need: N/A
    • Paper selection – all applications will be considered and reduced to a final shortlist of 8 applicants for short interview.
    • Interview: Impression of personality in an interview – conducted by the selection committee after a paper sift to shortlist. An external will take part in the interview / final short list process.

     

    Review

    • Second semester: Review of the student’s GPA in the second semester. Programme lead to notify the student if GPA is at risk of being lower than 80
    • End of second semester: If the average GPA is lower than 80 over the first two semesters, the scholarship will stop after one year (after the second semester).

     

    Process:

    • Communication of scholarship via website
    • Applicant applies for a selected programme at Gisma UAS
    • Applicant applies for this scholarship via the scholarship form online
    • Once submitted, the admission officer reaches out to the selection committee to review the scholarship application, committee may consider on set dates.
    • Information to be returned to the admission officer from the committee
    • In case of a successful scholarship, Marketing must be informed (as recipients need to support marketing purposes)
    • One deferral of intake is permitted

     


     

    PG Scholarship Criteria

    • 25% One shot Payment or Full fee before Orientation Date applicable only on 1 Year course Duration.
    • 15% 1st year fee is paid in full.
    • 25% Applicable on 2 Year course But only when Both the year fee is paid in full before Class start date.

     

    Global MBA

    • 25% One shot Payment or Full fee before Orientation Date applicable only on 1 Year course Duration.
