International Foundation Year in Business, Economics, Law and Social Sciences
The Business, Economics, Law and Social Sciences International Foundation Year provides the subject knowledge, language proficiency and study skills you need to progress to degree study at the University of Surrey in a related field.

During the International Foundation Year you will study a core unit of general subject skills, subject-specific units and elective units, which are carefully designed for your academic development.

Once you have successfully completed your International Foundation Year and achieved the required progression grades, you will be well-equipped to start your undergraduate degree at the University of Surrey.

Leading to: Politics and Sociology BSc (Hons)  

At a time of growing inequality, polarisation, and social and political unrest, how can political institutions address deeply rooted problems in society?

Our BSc Politics and Sociology course will let you discover and understand the interactions between social and political trends. Our course will introduce you to the most important social policy questions in the UK, around Europe, and the world, and explore how those who make decisions impact on others.
