A major in psychology provides an appropriate background for a variety of professions in which an understanding of the principles of human behavior is important.All psychology majors are encouraged to undertake an internship or related experience. Recent internship placements in psychology include Johns Hopkins University, Violence Intervention Program, Suicide Prevention Education Coalition, the Oneonta City School District, the Boys and Girls Club, Collingham Gardens Child Psychiatric Unit (London), and the Law, Order, and Justice Center.
