International Year One in Computer Science will prepare you to enter your next semester of a bachelor’s degree program at Hofstra University. Upon successful completion of International Year One and meeting university requirements for undergraduate admission, you may enter your next semester of undergraduate study at Hofstra University. This program pairs you with dedicated faculty who help you succeed in your first year at Hofstra University.

The BACHELOR OF ARTS IN COMPUTER SCIENCE gives students a solid foundation in computer science. Fewer required courses in the major and more electives allow students to pursue minors and a second major in other departments. Students may pursue a general track or an individual track that has a sequence of two independent study courses specially designed in collaboration with a faculty member.

Gaming and Graphics

The Concentration in Gaming and Graphics is aimed at educating students in the design and development of video games and game engines.  This is a very exciting and growing industry. Video games have permeated all segments of population and industry from entertainment to educational. All courses in this concentration include a significant experiential component.
