The Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting ignites your imagination by unleashing your sense of truth and creative instinct. Our program delivers precision-based Meisner training and we use effective contemporary techniques to prepare you for a professional career that includes self-generated work and the development of artistic community.

During your time at Shenandoah, you will be immersed in every facet of actor training, experience hands-on studies in all areas of performance and production. At the end of your four years, you will emerge as a well-rounded theatre artist prepared for a complex and ever-evolving industry.

    Scholarships

    Scholarships Are Forms Of Financial Aid That Do Not Have To Be Repaid.

    Scholarships may be awarded based on academic merit, talent or affiliation. Scholarships large and small may be part of a student’s financial aid award. At Shenandoah University we provide a variety of scholarships to students. Our institutional aid is based on academic merit as well as need. All institutional aid is renewable for four years as long as the student remains at full-time and has a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5. Students must also meet Satisfactory Academic Progress. Awards will be divided equally between the Fall and Spring semesters.

    • Presidential Scholarship - $22,000 per year
    • Academic Scholarship - $7,000 – $17,000 per year
    • Academic Transfer Scholarship - $5,000 – $12,000 per year
    • Shenandoah University Conservatory Scholarship - $2,000 – $22,000 per year
    • Virginia Conference United Methodist Scholarship - $1,000 per year
    • Shenandoah Specialized Endowed Scholarships
    • International Scholarships - Up to $16,500
    • Tuition Exchange - Equal to tuition
    • Scholarships From Outside of Shenandoah University
