Join a rigorous mathematics degree program that offers exciting opportunities for research and applied learning.

As a mathematics major at UAF, you can focus your study on mathematics, statistics or preparing to teach middle or high school math. You’ll also have opportunities to work with faculty on math and statistics research that’s directly connected to real-world issues, including projects specific to the Arctic.

Math teaches you problem solving and logical thinking skills you can apply to many different types of careers, including jobs in science, technology, engineering and more. Math is also a popular minor or double major for students in programs such as engineering and biology.
