Program Overview

The WOU Computer Science program includes instruction in both the theoretical and applied aspects of computing, with a primary goal of developing the hands-on skills that will make you marketable to employers in Oregon and the Pacific Northwest. You’ll take courses in introductory to advanced programming, computer architecture, and software development, preparing you for jobs at companies such as Microsoft, Dell, Shiftwise, Fiserv, and Umpqua Bank.

    Scholarships

    Western Oregon University does not have any designated or guaranteed scholarships for international students. However, once admitted, international students with a GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale will automatically receive the Merit Scholarship. The amounts indicated on the site are annual and renewable annually. International students are also eligible to apply for two types of scholarships, General Scholarships and Departmental Scholarships. The application process includes submitting required documents and essays.
