The Movement Science is designed for students interested in pursuing professional study in health related fields including physical therapy, physician assistant, nursing, prosthetics, or other programs requiring more rigorous preparation in the sciences. Students interested in these fields should consult the prerequisite list for the graduate schools to which they intend to apply.  Graduates from this program are also well-prepared for jobs in personal training, cardiac rehabilitation, nutrition consulting, corporate fitness, assisting in orthopedic rehabilitation settings, and more.

Kinesiology Program Learning Outcomes:

  • Apply the scientific process in exercise physiology.
  • Design and instruct appropriate content and teaching progressions related to human movement concepts and skill themes.
  • Design exercises to improve strength and flexibility.

    • In addition, tthe CSU system allows for a limited number of tuition waivers to international students. At CSU San Marcos, international students are eligible to apply for these tuition waivers after their first year of residence. Generally, these tuition waivers are partial, which means that only a portion of the tuition fee is waived. Applications are due in May and with waivers being granted for fall semester, with a possibility of renewal.
