Learn how to determine and assess risk in the University of Central Missouri’s Actuarial Science and Statistics bachelor’s degree program. The Actuarial Science option teaches you everything you need to know to become a professional actuary for insurance companies, financial institutions and government agencies. The program requirements are developed based on industry best practices and approved by the Society of Actuaries (SOA).

In fact, UCM’s actuary program is recognized by the SOA as a UCAP-AC program (Universities and Colleges Actuarial Programs - Advanced Curriculum). This means your classes cover topics you need to know for certain SOA preliminary exams. We also offer Validation by Educational Experience (VEE) courses to further enhance your professional preparedness opportunities.
