At University of Waikato College, we want you to be the very best you can be. Our staff go out of their way to support every international student, helping you settle in to student life in New Zealand. We are committed to assisting you every step of the way on your study journey providing you with the advice and services you need to ensure your time studying with us is successful and happy.
- Academic support
- Health and Counselling Services - Health services for all students are available on campus, including counsellors, doctors, and nurses. Our team of counsellors can help you adjust to university life, as well as assist you with any personal or study-related issues. Waikato has an ecumenical chaplain, a Catholic priest and two Muslim prayer rooms available.
- International Student Services Office - The International Student Services Office has a dedicated team to help you during your time at the University of Waikato. They oversee:
- International orientation for new students
- Immigration requirements and student visa renewals
- Medical and travel insurance
- New Zealand and international government scholarships
- Study abroad and exchange support
- International student events
- Buddy
- Scholarships for International Students
