Sample 1 - Describe a creative person whose work you admire

Introduction

We meet many people throughout our lives, but some people stay in our mind forever because of their unique talents. I know a person who is a good writer.

Who he/she is?

He is Sameer, my childhood friend, who is a true skilful writer.

How do you know him/her?

I have known him since my childhood. He was my classmate and was my best friend. I first learned about his great writing talent when he wrote an essay for the college magazine.

What creative things he/she has done?

He is very talented and has published many of his articles in some renowned Newspapers. He participated in the National Essay Writing Competition, wrote on Independence Day, and received a trophy for his creative writing. When I read the essay, his thought process and writing style impressed me greatly.

Explain why you think he or she is creative.

There is a different charm about the person with creative capabilities, and they are unique. He had so much skill in his writing that one starts to feel his emotions and relate to whatever he writes. His works now inspire people around the country as he published his first book, and I’m very happy for him.

Introduction

There are very few people in the world who are genuinely creative, and they are a blessing to the world and make it a better place. I had a drawing teacher in my school, and I greatly admired her work.

Who he/she is? and How do you know him/her?

Her name is Priya, and she taught us drawing from Class 3 to Class 5. I used to admire her drawing skills a lot.

What creative things he/she has done?

I found the drawing subject a bit difficult, but she taught us shortcuts and helped us draw our best. I have been able to draw amazing drawings, which made me fall in love with drawing as a subject.

She was very talented, and she used to draw some complex drawings. Her teaching skills made drawing enjoyable for all of us. Seeing how effortlessly and fast she used to make those drawings was terrific.

Introduction

Every person has some creative abilities in them; it only need to be unleashed. I have one of my friends whose name is Himanshu, and he was a singer and a musician.

Who he/she is? And How do you know him/her?

He is Himanshu, my best friend who is a singer and musician, and he writes his own songs. He lives in my neighborhood, and everyone in the area knows about him for his talent.

And explain why you think he or she is creative.

He is creative because he can make a song in any situation in minutes, and his unique ability to compose songs just after writing them makes him special. He can light up the mood of anyone instantly, and whenever I don’t feel fine, I meet him or listen to his compositions on YouTube, thus having a soothing effect on my soul.

In the third part of the IELTS speaking test, you will find follow-up questions based on the same topic that was asked in part 2.
