PTE Academic Test Format

The PTE exam consists of 4 modules with 20 different types of questions. The score is given on a scale of 10-90 for every four sections. Here's a time frame and number of questions for the Speaking, Writing, Reading and Listening module.

Steps for PTE Exam Slot Booking

Students are advised to book their exam date two months prior to the university’s admission deadline to have enough time for the PTE test preparation. Below are the steps to follow while booking the preferred slot.

1. The first step is to create or login into an existing account on the official PTE Academic Website.  
2. Next, fill in all the required details as mentioned on the passport.
3. Select the preferred test option – PTE Academic or PTE General.
4. Select the convenient test centre city.
5. Select an available PTE Exam date in the chosen test centre.
6. Review the selected PTE exam date and location.
7. Make the payment and download the acknowledgement receipt.

PTE Exam Fee 2024

The exam fee for PTE academic in India is INR 17,000. There is no late fee for booking the PTE exam slot before 48 hours of the test date.

Note: The exam fee can vary in the near future.

• PTE Late Registration Fee- For changing the exam test within 14 days but at least 7 full days before their test date, candidates must pay 50% of the test fee.

• PTE Rescheduling Fee- For changing the exam test within 14 days but at least 7 full days before their test date, candidates must pay 50% of the test fee.

• PTE Cancellation Fee- The table below represents the cancelling fee.
