1. University of British Columbia-
Established in 1908, UBC is one of the oldest universities in British Columbia, with its campuses in Vancouver and Kelowna. The University has notable award-winning alumni, and the University has been placed in 13-14 in Canada. Holding more than 2 million books, SFU Burnaby library is the largest. The University has its newspaper called The Peak and a community radio station. SFU gives special attention to athletics and has a favorite sports team called the Simon Fraser Clan.
3. University Canada West-
It is a private university in British Columbia founded in 2005 by David F. Strong. In 2014 UCW was purchased by Global University Systems, and it offers undergraduate and post-graduate programs in business management. By July 2020 university proposes to move to a new campus that can accommodate 3,400 people. SFU offers undergraduate programs in commerce, arts, and also an MBA. The mode of study at SFU is full time on campus or part-time online.
4. Vancouver Island University
Formerly known as Malaspina University-College, VIU is a public university established in 1969. It plays an essential role in the educational, cultural, and economic life of people in the region. The University's main campus is located in Nanaimo with three other regional campuses.
VIU offers masters and bachelors degrees in business, education, tourism and hospitality, science and technology, and social science.
5. Capilano University
CapU is a teaching-focused public university based in North Vancouver and is situated in a natural forested area of the North Shore Mountains. The University celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2018. CapU alumni consist, educators, executives, and leaders in all fields. CapU is famous for its small class size and over 250 scholarships.
6. Columbia College
It's a privately owned two-year university transfer college administrated by Columbia College Society. The college hosts students from more than 61 countries. It offers a variety of first and second-year university-level courses that can be transferred to universities within and outside of the province when you study in Canada.
7. Langara College
It's a public degree-granting college with more than 22,000 students offering courses in various qualifications: baccalaureate degrees, associate degrees, diplomas, certificates, and citations. The college has the provision of providing degrees in more than 60 subjects. Langara is famous for its small class size, excellent support service, and competitive fee.
8. Vancouver Community College
It's a public community college that was founded in 1965. It is one of Vancouver's largest and oldest community colleges, offering more than 140 certificates and diplomas programs. The college hosts more than 26,000 students from various students, and more than 8 per cent of the students are international.
