Program Overview

Foundation Program
Designed specifically for international students, the UWA Foundation program will help students improve their subject knowledge and English language skills. Students can progress to Year 1 of any undergraduate degree at The University of Western Australia (UWA) upon successful completion to the required level.

Leading to:Bachelor of Agricultural Science / Bachelor of Arts (Dual Degree)
In a competitive employment market, you will maximise your career options by developing advanced agricultural science and training along with transferable communication and critical thinking skills that employers are looking for. You will graduate with two qualifications, having cut two years off the time it takes you to study two degrees. If you decide either degree isn’t right for you, you can exit one and complete the other.

Bachelor of Agricultural Science
The Bachelor of Agricultural Science prepares you for agricultural systems of the future, as it integrates the rapidly developing field of AgTech with key agricultural science subjects. You will develop skills in digital agriculture, agricultural economics, soil science, and crop and livestock production. You will learn to integrate agricultural systems with new digital technologies, for improved farm efficiency and productivity.

Extended Major: Agricultural Science and Technology
There is a critical need to produce food and fibre more efficiently and in a more sustainable manner. There are currently rapid changes in the agricultural sector, largely due to developments in agricultural technology (digital agriculture). This extended major provides knowledge in both the traditional agricultural science areas as well as the emerging data-intensive agricultural technologies.

Bachelor of Arts
UWA's Bachelor of Arts is one of the most flexible and diverse degrees in Western Australia, with over 30 majors, including Political Science and International Relations, History, Philosophy, and a range of European and Asian languages. With majors in humanities and social sciences, music, and design, including the interdisciplinary majors of Gender Studies and Criminology, our Bachelor of Arts lets you cultivate your passions while providing you with the lifelong, transferable skills that employers are seeking, giving you an immediate competitive edge in pursuit of a career. You will graduate with the skills to address complex social issues, integrate local and global knowledge and perspectives, collaborate across disciplinary, organisational and cultural boundaries, and perform human processes that cannot be mechanised or automated.

Major: Criminology
Our single Criminology major is offered in the Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Philosophy (Honours), or as a second major in most other bachelor's degrees. This major gives you the opportunity to learn about core aspects of the role that criminology plays in understanding and responding to crime, including developing a critical understanding of current criminal justice practices in Australia.
