Students successfully completing the Diploma of Arts will be granted entry into the second year of a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Archaeology and Classical Studies at Adelaide University.

Our Bachelor of Arts is flexible and future-focused, preparing you for career success. In the Archaeology and Classical Studies major, you’ll encounter millennia of human resilience, struggle and triumph.

Study the Classical world – from Homer to the fall of the Roman Empire, exploring pivotal discoveries and questions in archaeology. Trace the rise and fall of leaders like Alexander the Great and Cleopatra. Investigate the central myths connecting ancient Greeks and Egyptians and their influence in the modern world. Discover the treasures of our Classics Museum collections.

Our curriculum is designed in line with the Australian Archaeology Skills Passport, so everything you learn will be industry-informed and relevant to the field. Build practical skills in archaeological fieldwork, from surveying to sophisticated remote sensing and GIS. Conduct materials analyses in the lab and get familiar with the digital tools of the trade. Graduate with practical, in-demand skills, ready for employment in heritage industries, mining, archaeology, government, museums and more.

    Guaranteed 15% Next Generation Scholarship

    Enrol in the Foundation Studies Program, or a Diploma Program and receive a 15% scholarship, if you accept your offer before the cut-off dates and meet all:

    Progression Scholarships to Adelaide University
    10% Adelaide Partner Award Eligibility criteria: guaranteed for all packaged Eynesbury and SAIBT students who successfully progress to their chosen University degree.
    15% Adelaide Merit Scholarship Eligibility Criteria: Foundation Studies Program score: 380/500 or above. Diploma Program GPA of 4.5 or above.
    25% Adelaide Emerging Leaders Award Eligibility Criteria: Foundation Studies Program score: 410/500 or above. Diploma Program GPA of 5.5 or above.
    50% Adelaide Academic Excellence Scholarship Eligibility Criteria: Limited places available, and high academic achievers will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

     

    Terms & Conditions:

    Students must meet all conditions and accept before the cut-off dates to be eligible, the specific program amount will be applied as a credit to students second trimester of study, scholarships apply to the first 8 modules of the Diploma programs, recipients will not be entitled to the Navitas Family Bursary, or any other scholarship, bursary, incentive, or discount, if you apply to defer or change your studies at any point in your packaged program, SAIBT reserve the right to re-assess.
