APPLIED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS DEVELOPMENT

- This program is ideal for students with an undergraduate degree looking to enter and become a leader in the growing fields of disaster management, emergency planning and public safety and security.
- Graduates of the program will have the skills to help communities and organizations to prepare, plan or respond to growing issues such as climate-related disasters, identity theft, pandemics, and other public safety threats.

- Analyze and apply the appropriate communications tools to interact effectively with multiple stakeholders in complex, stressful, and ambiguous situations; and
- Manage all components of an emergency program, such as planning, prevention, mitigation, response, and recovery.

Academic Requirement
- Minimum Level of Education Required: To be eligible for this program, international students are required to have an undergraduate degree in a Science-related field (Environmental Science, Biochemistry, Biology), Disaster/ Emergency Management (Public Safety), Engineering, Health (Medicine, Nursing, Health Science) or Social Sciences (Public Administration, Anthropology, Archaeology, Economics, Geography, History, Law, Linguistics, Politics, Psychology and Sociology or an equivalent credential from a recognized institutional outside of Canada.
- Exceptions can be considered on a case-by-case basis with a copy of the resume and a leter of interest.
