Program Overview

Study the principles and practices of osteopathy — a growing profession that uses a manual therapy approach to patient care, treating a variety of injuries, illnesses and conditions.

Graduate with more than 1,000 hours of supervised clinical experience
This is the only osteopathy degree in Canada that meets the World Health Organization’s Type 1 standard of 1,000 hours of supervised clinical practice. You will:

Start working with patients in your first year.
Practice alongside peers in our multidisciplinary student clinic.
Network with practitioners during three work-integrated learning opportunities in a variety of clinical settings.
A direct path into the growing field of osteopathy
Previous health science education is recommended but not required to enter this degree. If you’ve already completed a health science degree, you may be eligible to start in the second year of this program after completing three bridging courses.

Benefit from Sheridan’s reputation for excellence in health science
Sheridan is well-known for delivering high-calibre applied health programs, including degrees in athletic therapy and kinesiology. In our Honours Bachelor of Science – Osteopathy degree program, you’ll work closely with your peers in small classroom environments as you learn fundamental and advanced health science from professors who have extensive clinical experience.
