Awards and Bursaries
Nipissing University offers additional funding to students on the basis of a range of criteria – academic merit, financial need, or a combination of extracurricular involvement, academics, demonstrated leadership ability or volunteerism. Once you’re a Nipissing student, simply complete the Web Bursary application that is found on WebAdvisor in October to be considered for all awards and bursaries. Guaranteed Entrance Scholarships for College Transfer Students
Your college grades can make a big difference. Scholarship averages are calculated using your overall final average based on all college courses completed as of June 30, 2024
If you meet these criteria, you will be considered automatically – no application needed!
- Canadian and international college transfer applicants
- Applying directly into the first year of a full-time undergraduate degree program in North Bay
- Eligible to receive a maximum of 18 credits in transfer credit
- September entry

Notes:
- Free tuition is based on domestic tuition rate and 100% course load.
- Students are only eligible for the first four years of undergraduate study.
- Concurrent BEd students in years 5 and 6 of study, and Consecutive BEd students in the 2-year program are not eligible for the renewal of these scholarships.
† Average based on your overall final average based on all college courses completed as of June 30.
* Based on cumulative GPA (CGPA) as recorded on April 30. Students must enroll in no less than 24 credits annually to retain scholarship eligibility.
