California State University - Monterey Bay Scholarships

Scholarships are awarded as money that can be used to pay for educational expenses. Scholarships do not need to be paid back and are a great way to pay for your expenses.

Scholarships and non__resident fee waiver
These awards are competitive and a small percentage of applicants will receive the scholarships. Students must reapply every year to be considered for the International Student Non__Resident Fee Waiver again.
Make sure to check the scholarship binder regularly for updated scholarship information. We are located on the 3rd floor of the Student Services Building (#47). Fall is the best time to search and apply for scholarships.

When you receive a scholarship that is outside of CSUMB, check the scholarship requirements and notify Ashlie McCallon so we can add your award.

An automatic email will be sent to your primary email address upon submitting your scholarship application. The Financial Aid Office will notify all scholarship winners via CSUMB email.

Students who are not selected for a CSUMB Scholarship will also be notified via CSUMB email as soon as time permits.

CSU International Programs Scholarship Opportunities are available through the California State University International Programs office, and come in a variety of forms.

CSUIP Scholarships: Made possible through the generosity of former CSUIP participants. Scholarships of $500 are available to students accepted into any of the IP programs. The scholarship is awarded based on scholastic merit and financial need.

International F-1 degree-seeking students may be eligible for the International Student Non-Resident Fee Waiver. The primary purpose of the waiver is to recognize international students who display exceptional scholastic achievements and dedication. Recipients of this award receive a full waiver of the non-resident fee portion of their tuition, between $7,900 and $14,250 depending on the number of units taken. These awards are competitive and a small percentage of applicants will receive the scholarships. Students must reapply every year to be considered for the International Student Non-Resident Fee Waiver again.
