The Bachelor of Advanced Science (Honours) caters for students who have demonstrated outstanding potential in the field of science. This degree follows the Bachelor of Science degree, giving you the opportunity to engage in research early by taking one Advanced Studies course each trimester.

You'll undertake a major research project and be individually guided and mentored by one or more of our outstanding scientific researchers. In your final year, you'll complete an honours project in your chosen specialisation. Major: Applied Mathematics

This course provides a basic foundation in applied mathematics. The topics covered include algebra; linear, quadratic, trigonometric and logarithmic functions; vectors and matrices;and various calculus techniques (differentiation, integration and separable differential equations). The application of these topics to real world phenomena is integral to this course.
